>From the responses I've been getting I think that maybe I should have been more
specific in my previous enquiry.

All I am looking for is a third party product- Java library, simple plug-in,
whatever- which would allow us to make real-time credit-card checks and transactions
from the site in a secure environment. Having looked into it further I stumbled
on CyberSource, which would be just the thing. However, this looks a shade expensive
for the amount of traffic we are expecting. Any further suggestions?

We do not need a shopping cart or anything of the sort- just a credit-card checking
service.
