PHP and MySql - where to start

Can anyone recommend a good book - or on-line sites - where I 
can start learning the fundamentals of PHP and MySQL.  I need to 
start learning databases and these 2 programs seem to be the 
choice of many (and my ISP is running UNIX). I need information 
that will introduce me to the very basics of PHP and MySQL.
