One thing I didn't see mentioned here was VMWare (www.vmware.com).  It's a program 
that lets you install multiple OS's, browsers, etc on the same machine and switch 
between them without having to reboot like with multi-boot machines.  You basically 
run the os in a window on top of your existing os.  So I have a Win2k Server, but 
without rebooting I can also run Linux, Win98, Win2k Pro and more.  Unfortunately it 
doesn't do Mac, so I have an iMac for that.
