Depending on the volume of business he/she does
through PayPal ... that could be a reasonable amount.
For example, if you're a reseller, and happen to have a
couple of big ticket items come in at the same time ...
But having it frozen for "unusual account activity" by
PayPal .. sorry, there seem to be too many actual or
potential problems with PayPal to make it worth while.
There have also been reports of PayPal "inadvertently"
taking money out of people's bank accounts when
people set up their PayPal to work that way, and the
money taking seems to be solely at the whim of PayPal.
My take on PayPal is - if you're doing real business over
the Internet, you use credit cards. You spend the money
to get a merchant account or have a CC processor
handle it for you. PayPal is neither a bank nor a credit
card company, so it's completely unregulated, leaving
you no real recourse when PayPal screws up.
I also think this about PayPal's competitors, BTW. They
all seem to be reinventing the credit-card industry wheel
when there is no real need to do so.
