No, they don't disable Javascript, since they often add
their own Javascripts to a page to accomplish other
things their user may have set it to do.
The one I use literally rewrites the incoming HTML on
the fly. For instance, I have it set to turn all iframes and
ilayers into links. It does this by looking for IFRAME or
ILAYER tags and turning them into ordinary anchor
tags. It also has a feature called Frame Exploder that
turns a framed site into a set of separate browser
windows while maintaining full functionality of the
framed site. (I guess some people really *hate* frames!)
Suggestion: do a test page as you described above,
send the link to the list, and let us see if it gets past
our assortment of popup killers.
