Greetings Sue / List:
With all of the recent posts being made concerning hit counting and visitor
tracking techniques I thought I would jump in and indicate that no amount
of hit counting, visitor tracking, server log analysis will ever give you
the only two stats you as web site owners should be tracking.
For information on the only two statistics web site owners should be
tracking to gage your site's success visit:

This article is one in our on-going Marketing Misbeliefs series and is
titled: Hit Counters are an effective measure of site traffic". In this
article we discuss why Hit Counting is not truly effective, we also discuss
"Page Views", "Server Log Analysis" and of course the only two stats that
really matter.
