I started using PageMaker and then had to convert to Quark in my current
job. If you're using PageMaker, don't expect an instant transition to
Quark as it is a bit different. Same concepts, different ways of doing
things. All-in-all I like the software, although it has a tendency to
corrupt its own files on an NT platform. As long as you keep a backup
there's no problem.
On the very plus side of it, most printer shops use Macs. If you're on a
PC, you'll find that Quark translates better across platforms and you'll
have significantly less problems than you will with PageMaker .
