Carole,

The problem, I would guess is that you set up for the mouseover area to be 
the picture. Once you move the mouse away from the photo, the mouseover 
disappears.

I suggest that you either increase the "canvas" size of the photo so that 
when you roll over the blank area that text appears, or make an invisible 
layer that activates the text when you roll over it (in addition to the 
mouseover from the photo).
