how to deal with inconsistencies of css in netscape

This is SOOO frustrating. I work to make things look good in IE and then
have to face the facts of dealing with netscape.
I built a site using CSS (a relative newbie with that) and all looked great
in IE. I then went to look at it in Netscape and had to have smelling salts
bring me back to life.
Please check this out:

In IE it looks as it should, in NN4.7 the button is shifted over, in NN6,
the logo is shifted over.
I don't get paid enough to deal with this...
