embedding images in html email

Hi all,

This must have been discussed at some time, but here goes again.

One of my clients wants to send out an email that looks like a web page. I 
know that it can be done with the images stored on the server and sourced 
that way. However, I was wondering if there is any way to embed the image 
into the email itself so that it goes as a package. That way, the client 
does not have to store the images on a server (which he does not know how 
to do anyway). Is this possible?
