Hi;
Very basic question, but in dire need... I'm building a server on SuSE. I'm
brand new to Linux/UNIX. I've successfully installed SuSE; now I need to
install PHP, Perl, MySQL, etc. I've downloaded all of those on to a CD and
placed the CD in the server. I used this command to untar the PHP tarball
at a hash prompt:
# gzip -cd php-4.0.1pl2.tar.gz | tar xvf
yet it says it can't find the file. However, it doesn't rev up the CD-ROM,
either, leaving me to believe I'm doing something wrong in trying to access
the CD. So, how do I do this? Do I need to get to a *$* prompt? How do I do
that?
TIA,
BenO
