Three ways I've heard of, none of which I've done.

!. Use cookies.

2. Pass the info with the URL.

3. Make it a framed page, with one frame 1 pixel high or wide. Pass the 
info to a hidden field in that page. Load the new page into the main frame. 
Retrieve the data.
