I've seen a few scripts for getting a file's "last modified" date... and
had found one that seemed to work (notice the past tense?) <smile>
Anyway, here's the thing... the script that gets the date, is in it's own
.js file, that is called at the foot of each HTML page. That way I can have
one spot to make any format changes for the footer, plus, the "last updated
on" date should be taken care of automatically.
I am not overly familiar with the javascript date object, but what I've
cobbled together seemed to be working until I noticed tonight that a page
that I have not touched for a day or two was showing today's date, but
other pages were still showing the old date (IOW, inconsistant results. <sigh>)
Anyway, I would appreciate any insight or suggestions on what might be
happening right in front of my eyes. The sight in question can be found up
for demo at http://euclid.nmu.edu/~natlyle/mccu/
Thanks!
