Fellow web slingers,

I decided recently to put Firefox on my computer (and have made it 
the default browser), coinciding with my new computer purchase (a 
Dell), which also involved an OS upgrade (XP from 98).  However, 
viewing some of my designed pages in Firefox for the first time 
showed me that Firefox doesn't seem to render some things well.  
Either that, or it's bad coding on my part (probably the latter), can 
someone tell me what the differences are between the browsers in 
the following regards and how my code can be changed (if at all):

First up, http://www.homepagesplus.com/vitalwords .  I've 
mentioned this page on list before.  It's quite simply coded, no 
other browser has had a problem with it, Dreamweaver (which 
helped on the coding) renders it great, but I notice that the CSS 
doesn't display properly (or at all).  For those who have both, 
compare with IE, the text in Firefox seems to be smaller, and the 
bold (represented by < strong > tags (personally I still prefer the < b 
> < /b > tags, easier to type and a bit clearer to meaning, but I 
understand they're being phased out)) doesn't show at all on the 
members page ( 
http://www.homepagesplus.com/vitalwords/member.htm - the 
duties ("Chairperson", "Toastmaster", etc., are supposed to show 
bold.)  The most interesting thing about the CSS problem is that on 
http://www.homepagesplus.com , the CSS shows just fine, so it's 
probably a coding error that IE recognizes but Firefox doesn't.

Next "problem page" is http://david.national-anthems.net .  It 
seems to have the same problem with font size as the above page 
does, plus a few of its own little "headaches".  Firstly, the table of 
contents pull-down menu on the left (the source I got from 
http://www.kryogenix.org/code/browser/aqlists/ ) renders ok in IE 
(and I believe other browsers too), but in Firefox, for some reason 
that baffles my mind, the contents under A, B, C, DEF, and GH do 
not have the rollup feature (ie the [+] sign next to them) and the 
rest of them do.  Secondly, the Quicktime plugin to play the 
embeded MIDI on many of the pages ( http://david.national-
anthems.net/ca.htm as just one example) never seems to load right 
in Firefox.  (I've gotten a few visitor comments about this).  I 
suspect this one is just a "feature" of Firefox that I unfortunatley 
have no control over (but, for the time beaing, I plan on stikcing 
with embeded Quick Time plugins for the MIDIs on that site.

If anyone can tell me what (if anything) is wrong with my codes on 
these two sites, and why they appear differently than it should in 
Firefox, let me and the list know.
