Opera 6 glitch?

(I apologize if you've already received this.)

My page validates, and I've tested it with IE 5.0, Netscape 4.78 and 6.2, 
Mozilla 1.0, and Opera 6.04.  Opera 6.04 is putting white space where the 
others are starting the text. You can see it at 
http://museum.nist.gov/exhibits/adx2/index.htm .

Does anyone know a way to fix this without breaking something else?
