Lois and Kayjey, et al:
I'm glad we talked.
It's a real pleasure to meet people who hold and uphold high standards. I was never offended by your posts.
I guess it's because of my NYC-derived thick skin, but I am mostly amused rather than offended when people call my creations annoying. (And, I do understand that you were not actually doing that, anyway.)
Thank you for looking at my site and letting me know frankly what you thought of it. I will work on improving it, especially the performance.
I think our discussion was constructive; a number of us learned a little bit more about Internet/browser standards and lack thereof, usability and I got the chance to ramble on and on about the good old days.
In terms of user experience, the Internet has a ways to go. It's great to have a forum like this one in which we can discuss these issues with others who care about them.
Group hug,
--Emily
