Oh there are some gooduns out there, that's for sure...
I did voice overs for radio and television commercials and such for years
before I got into all this stuff and I can't tell you the number of folks
who would say...oh gee, how do you get into that, I've always wanted to do
that LOL...like ya just pick up a script and read it...nothing to it, don't
bother to have any voice training or learn anything about acting...just
waltz on in there LOL. Of course the trouble with that is that you come
unstuck instantly and usually very embarrasingly when someone is laughing
so hard they can barely open the door to throw you out LOL.
A friend of mine recently created a 23 page site for a company only to have
them turn around and tell him that he wasn't to mention his company name or
link to his page *anywhere* on their site...and to add insult to injury,
they had the nerve to try and make him promise that he wouldn't do any work
for their opposition...egads!!!
I'm more into the graphics end of things these days, but after giving away
I don't know how much stuff over the years and helping folks ad infinitum
for nothing, I'm done.
I'll help and pamper up to a point...but don't push yer luck and don't
argue the point about price...either you pay what I charge or I walk.
A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing in the wrong hands.
Sorry it happened to you Mike...
