HTML 3.0 was never released as a recommendation to my knowledge because it=
=20
was already outdated before it was to be released. HTML 3.2 was released=
=20
instead in January of 1997 to take the state of current browsers into=20
consideration (NN 3 and IE 3 at the time). NN 2 and IE 2 already supported=
=20
some things new to HTML 3.2 like tables and text flow around images. HTML=
=20
3.2 was created to add support to widely deployed features in a W3C=20
official recommendation.
>2. The earliest browsers that support either HTML 3.0 and 3.2
IE 3 and NN 3. I don't remember if Mosaic 3.0 supported HTML 3.2.
>3. The earliest version of browsers that support CSS
IE 3 and NN 4... well, saying that NN 4 "supports" CSS is stretching it but=
=20
its support was better than IE 3 who was released before CSS Level 1 became=
=20
a recommendation. NN 4 doesn't have that excuse.... ;-)
