ASP

Hi all,

I hope someone can help.  I keep seeing ads in the paper for web designers 
with ASP experience.  Since I was layed off last December I'm starting to 
worry a bit.  The last ad I saw asked for all the skills I have except 
knowledge of ASP.

I'm pretty sure that's somehow related to databases, and I've heard it's a 
nightmare to edit due to the number of lines of code.  But aside from that 
I know nothing.  Can someone please enlighten me as to what ASP is?  Is it 
a language like JavaScript?

I'm tempted to apply anyway, but don't want to put either the company or 
myself into a bad position by getting myself into something I don't have 
the skills to do.
