Not sure I've made the right decision but I've signed up with
www.jinionline.co.uk who add a layer over the DNS, and so the URL.
To make this work the user must download a small piece of software from
www.jinionline.co.uk that enables them to dispense with URL's altogether.
With the system the user just types 'author' in the address line - and
finds my site.
I went ahead because - if it works - then my site name 'author' would have
been sold to someone else. There's the danger, type in 'cars' and get Saab etc.
It's a new, restrictive, form of search engine - one that shows another way
forward.
Anyone else used this system?
