The problem is with the inner table - if you comment it out everything 
lines up.

Its hard to pinpoint exactly what was wrong with the table, except that 
there were several unnecessary colspans and rowspans, as well as 4 blank 
rows. This was effectively confusing Netscape 4.x (and me, as it happens). 
I have prepared a cleaned up version and put it at 
http://aamcf.co.uk/temp/memsale There is the bare minimum of formatting 
information to make it clearer what is going on.

In general, when tracking down problems like this there are some useful 
techniques. I usually start by validating the HTML and fixing any broken 
bits. That can sometimes solve the problem, but at the very least it means 
you know what you are working with: valid code is much more predictable 
than invalid. I then try removing bits of the page one by one until the 
problem goes away. When the problem isn't there any more I start to replace 
the bits I removed, leaving out any that cause the problem to reappear. 
This means I can isolate the part that causes the problem
