Hi all,
I'm putting together an order form with multiple items on it. What I'd
like to have the form do is to calculate the total price of all the items
selected.
Explanation:
In 1 row on the form, I want to have tshirts selling for $15. I'd like to
have a "quantity check box" at the beginning of that row where they can
select the quantity - and at the end of that row I would like to have a box
display the total price.
In other words, if they enter "2" in the "quantity check box", it will
automatically calculate and display "$30" at the end of the row.
In the 2nd row, I want to do the same thing for CD's and have the column at
the end of the row calculate the total price of the cd's.
And in another row will be posters and in another row will be 8X10 photos.
And at the bottom of the form I'd like to have the total price of all items
selected. This will be the amount they write out the check for. I dont
want to have people doing all kinds of math in their heads thus turning
them away.
Now this form will not be sent anywhere - this is a static form where they
can enter the information on screen and then click the "Print" button and
it will be printed out and they can mail it along with their payment. I'm
thinking people will be more inclined to fill out the form on their
computer rather than print it out and then fill it out by hand.
I'm thinking this can be accomplished via javascript but I haven't been
able to find an appropriate script.
So - my question is - can anybody point me to a script site where I might
be able to find this - either javascript or PHP.... or if their is an
alternative way to do this?
TIA,
Bob Unger
