I had similar problems in this regard on my NVIDIA card until I installed
different drivers ala XP Pro. So, it may be a driver issue with certain
operating systems and certain video cards. I do not remember whether it was
my previous card which was GeForce 2 or the current MX440. Hope this helps
narrow the issue down.
