yes, it is possible.  i've seen it done using javascript, although it's not
out on that site anymore, so i'm not sure what their code was.  i've used
the scrollBy() before, with success.  i don't have time to look into it too
much now, but you should be able to do this using scrollBy() function.  an
example of what this might look like is:

<script language=javascript>
  function scrollMe() {
    picture = new Image();
    picture.src = "mygif.gif";

    scrollBy(x,y)  // x is horizontal pixels, y is vertical pixels
  }
</script>

then, in your body tag would look something like <body onLoad="scrollMe()"
background...>
you can also use the setInterval or setTimeout functions to repeat the
scrollBy...

Hello,

Does anyone know if it is possible to have a page auto scroll to the right
ever so slowly?  I have an image that is two pages wide about 1000 pixels
wide and the effect I want is to have the page come up, and hesitate long
enough for the image to load, and then before the person has a chance to
do it, I would like it to start scrolling to the right...  Is this possible
or am
I wanting something that is really out there?
