.pdfBatchMeister? - looking for a review

we are looking to convert a large quantity of word or postscript files to
.pdf format and are looking for a conversion utility.  a search through
adobe's site led me to the .pdfToolKit which has the .pdfBatchMeister...
has anybody used either of these?  any other recommendations?
