yep, it's css.  anything that shows up between <style> tags is css.

there are tons of good resources on css; i generally look to
webdeveloper.com or webreference.com for tutorials or links (just go out and
do a search for css, and you should find plenty of info).  

i'm pretty sure webmonkey (www.hotwired.com/webmonkey) has some tutorials,
and they're usually pretty good...

Forgive me for asking such a probably simple question, but does anyone know

I'm fairly fluent in HTML, but know next to nothing in anything else (java
script, java, css etc.)
IS this actually a form of css??

Is it just an IE5 thing? Is there anything as simple for netscape or lower
versions of IE? Will this do any damage to a page in anything other then
IE5??

I *will* do some research on in on my own, but I just saw this in someone's
site, figured it was js, but checked out the source anyway, and saw how
simple it is. Just figured i'd ask you good folks first. 

Again, sorry for asking such a novice-like question (assuming it is :)
