No reason at all. I do it all the time.

However, you may decide that if you have any ASP pages that perform
functions you'd rather keep secret, such as form processing, password
verification, or whatever, that you put those in your cgi-bin or scripts
folder (whichever you have set up).

Can I mix regular HTML pages with ASP pages in the same site?  I really only
need the ASP pages for the form pages.
