I developed the content management script for the company I work for.  We
have a few licensing systems: either you just buy a license for the script
(one license for each site you put it on), or you may just ask us to do the
integration into a static website you designed.  Of course our customers
have a third possibility and that's us designing the website too.

In both cases you'll need either full ASP or PHP support.  That would mean
access to the filesystem object in ASP and the upload functionality in PHP.
The ASP can be based on an Access database or even a MySQL database, the PHP
was developed on MySQL but I presume by changing a few bits here and there
it would be okay.  In PHP, for backup purposes you would need access to
system commands like mysql and mysqldump.

We use two hosts for the system: one is Windows NT (newlink - newlink.cz)
and the other is Linux (hostproof - hostproof.com).

I strongly recommend the PHP version.

The content management system was developed to give the user just the right
tools and features.  He shouldn't care about the layout part (that's your
job) or any technical stuff.  We've found all our customers these days go
for this system.  It saves them money if they need regular updates and saves
you time to go out and find more customers.
