i've always done this using an external javascript file...

<script language="javascript">
getSideBar();
</script>

where getSideBar() uses document.write to put in the contents of the
sidebar...

Hello!

I was wondering if there was any way of changing the same thing one
different pages by doing only one thing...  You see, I'm creating a page
that has a side bar of info that'll have to be changed often.  The site will
probably have a few hundred pages too...
What I was thinking is if there was any way I could import information from
one main file onto all the other pages...
sorta like

<html>
Blah blah blah
<load sidebar.html here>
</html>

A bit vague, but I hope you get the Idea...
