one thing i'd like to add is that "bad words" can be part of longer words.
for example, i used to work at an insurance company and someone there tried
to look up a competitor, massachussets mutual life.  because it contained
the string "ass" the site was blocked.  this is irritating and while i think
it's kind of funny, i probably wouldn't if it was me just trying to do my
job or use a website.  at any rate, we all know that ass=donkey but people
aren't really going to say kiss my donkey and not mean something else, so do
you filter out "kiss my" only if it's followed by "ass"?

my point?  it might be to tell your friend they should check for spaces on
either side of the word as part of the filter...  it also might be to convey
the suggestion that their "ok" list is probably sufficient and if they find
some creative swearing on their site, they can perhaps add to it later.
failing that, i'd be more than happy to type all the bad words and phrases i
can think of and send them to you.  you'll just have to wait 'til i'm having
a bad day.  :)
