There are many layers to this kind of thing -- most dbs have 3 tables for connecting -- user, db, and host.  When connecting from another server you have to look at all three -- host table might not allow the connection.

I'm not even sure whether this is possible. Anyway what I would imagine the
problem is, is that you will need to pass through username/password for the
other server (if you aren't already). Sorry if this doesn't help, it's all I
can think of atm.

I am having trouble connecting through my ASP script to an Access
database on a separate server. Both servers are NT4, both run IIS, they
are in different domains. Can anyone point me in the direction of some
good resources or just give me some hints as to what I should be looking
at.
