I now have a related question: I use ASP for SSI's in this website I'm
designing, but the file extension is .asp.  I thought .shtml was
specifically for security issues ("secure HTML").  Could someone clarify?

shtml is the extension used for a web page that uses SSI (server side
includes). The main benefit that I use it for is to make it easier to add
links to pages that already exist. In other words, you have one document
that you have to update instead of each page individually. Then on the page
you simple add the include where you want the code to show up.

I know I'm not explaining this real clearly. If someone else would like to
jump in with a better explanation, please feel free to do so ;-)
