Just the order in which it streams, then images, then javascripts and then
eventual images in Javascripts.

hi fellow listers,

i can't seem to find information on the exact loading order of web pages (if
there is one).  it has been my understanding that things will generally load
in the following order:

1.  stylesheets/scripts/tables
2.  text
3.  images
4.  background elements
5.  embedded elements (movies, applets, etc.)

is this true?  also, does using javascript to preload images affect this?
is the order in which things load different for each browser?

your help is, as always, appreciated.
