You are comparing a free program to one that is very expensive and used by
professionals.
I personally favour the Windows PC, although I've worked many years with
Macs, and was responsible for the maintenance on all PC's (Mac and Windows
and Unix) at my previous job. I found working with a PC works quicker.
Also, display of graphics on PC has stepped up to a very high level. Macs
SEEM sharper-crisper, I guess it's down to the monitors used by Apple, but I
found PC is more natural, and not as jagged-edged as Mac. I personally also
prefer not being kept away from certain setting of the OS, which is very
much the case in MacOS. I even have experienced situations where I had to
not boot into the GUI of the Mac (holding a combination of five buttons) and
go into command-line altering of PCI settings etc. to get the Dual Channel
Adaptec card working.
In the end, it's all about experiences and personal taste.

Hello everyone...
I am trying to decide whether to invest in graphics software for my Mac or
PC, and I'd like to hear from your experience what platform *you* think
creates better (smoother, sharper, etc.) graphics. I've been fooling around
with Paint Shop Pro on the PC, and although it has some nice filter effects,
the results are *never* as nice as the Photo Shop compatible software I use
on the Mac. Let's hear your take...
Thanks,
Lauren
