Hey Adrian,

it's been a matter of 'mailiquette' - some email programs will try and make
HTML out of the code and tags we so pleasantly spread around.  Placing a dot
will prevent the mail programs from doing so and thus keeps the codes
readable for the human being that's reading it.

Hi,

I'm just strating to dabble with style sheets, so excuse me if this is a
really dumb question, but why do some examples given in this thread have a
. in front of some element and not others. I've never put a . in my HTML,
and these look like ordinary HTML tags - Or are they?!
