Alright - after all the good advice you guys gave me yesterday I downloaded
all 'independent' and that prearranged -preconfigured package for backup.
Managed to install just fine, and I guess all is working, since I downloaded
this one MySQLPgAdming (or whatever it was called) and I could easily create
tables and stuff.

But... didn't manage to completely find how it all works.

My main concern is connecting to databases - know how to do it in ASP, but
PHP, sorry...  if anyone could have an example sent to me which connects to
a database, does a simple select * from a table and displays all records in
a while loop, I'd be grateful.  It's an easy one - I know, but as I said,
I'm just touching PHP for the very first time and rather do it good from the
start.

Also...
- wondered about how to set up the default page (index.htm, index.php,...)
in httpd.conf 'cause it doesn't do it at the moment.
- wondered about how to hand out different usernames/passwords for different
MySQL databases.

I think I'll face some new problems as I come over these, but I'd rather not
think of them yet.  Any help is highly appreciated.
