Although my garage salesman probably has already seen how clutches are
replaced on cars I wouldn't trust him doing it himself.

I wouldn't trust people who haven't seen much about "dpi" to scan in a
photograph in PhotoShop for use on my website.  They would probably scan it
in at 96 or 72dpi.


Just some examples that it's always nicer to use programs to make work "more
efficient"/"faster", not necessarily 'as a replacement for knowledge'.
