Hm... would be nice if it ended already... ;)

Seriously, I think the acquisition by Netscape of a different engine and the
new one not satisfying users marke the end of it.

It might come though, mind, but to my opinion, I always found it weird
Netscape was actually a browser 'stolen' from a community of users who
themselves offer nothing but an unfinished project.  In this light, Netscape
releases a product that itself is an unfinished project and therefor is full
of bugs (even more than the original unfinished product because there's a
delay between the steps taken).

Don't get me wrong.  I have Mozilla running here and it's a potentially
wonderful browser.  I take it into account when coding.  But I don't want a
those Netscape things hanging around it, so I stay clear of that one.

Whatever the case, both Mozilla and Netscape still have some irritating,
obvious bugs.  Netscape more than Mozilla.  And I really, really hope
Mozilla will never BECOME Netscape.  Not because of Netscape, but because of
AOL is behind the whole thing.  And I don't really like America Off Line.

I've heard this before and am curious as to what would define the end of
the browser wars, specifically. (Not because I disagree necessarily, I'm
not sure what I would think if asked.) I'm just curious if anyone has
anything to point at (other than the Netscape/AOL purchase.)
