XHTML Strict and browser compat.

I just started validating to XHTML this weekend. I've gotten most of the
sites I'm in charge of validating Transitional, piece of cake, I thought
there were a lot more changes to the DTDs.

Anyway. I decided to take it to Strict. The only problems I can find with
Strict is in the full use of CSS.

I'm curious if 1) anyone else is taking it to Strict, 2) if there have
been any real problems with it and browser compatability, 3) how far back
should I anticipate Strict being compatable?

Oh, and am I on the wrong list for XHTML?
