Hi all,
Back here again with another newbie ASP query...
The page I have scripted for ASP opens fine in M$IE and is testing
well in this browser. However it will not open in Netscape -- no way!
I would have thought that this was a scripting error on my part, but
I have just encountered another ASP-driven site with the same
problem. In fact this site carries a message to the effect that in
order to access the features of this site, the user HAS to be using a
version of IE later than version 4.0! (whatever happened to 'graceful
degradation of pages?')
Obviously in my travels around the web in my Netscape 4.6 (Mac)
browser, I have encountered many ASP-driven sites and this has never
been an issue -- these sites have all the apparent 'functionality'
that I need! Can anybody tell me, then, why some ASP-driven pages
will not run on a Netscape browser at all, meaning that visitors MUST
use IE?
T.I.A.
MIKE
