Log in time

In MS Word (or Excel) go to File, Properties. There's some useful 
stats there about the file. If you fill in the fields on the summary 
tab (I'm looking at Word 98 on Mac) for each file, you'll create a 
simple database that you can search from the File, Open, Find File 
options.
