Two things, Lisa:
1. You say the file for the button graphic shows up in your directory list
on the server, but if you enter its URL into your browser
(http://home.rmi.net/~wyllow/toppurpl.gif) you'll find you don't get the
image. This suggests to me either that despite what you think, the file ISN'T
in that directory, or perhaps the file is corrupt. One indicator might be to
look at the size of the file on the server using WS_FTP or whatever your
upload utility is, and compare that with your original file on your PC. If
they are different, there's definitely something wrong. Wouldn't be a bad
idea just to try uploading the file again anyway.
2. You're going about this in an awfully complicated way! You don't need to
use an image map to achieve this effect -- you only need a simple hyperlinked
image like this:
<A HREF="#anchor48915">[Unable to display image]</A>
Use that method and you can do away with all the image map stuff.
