anyways..... i think, that, if you are designing a website for a
company, then its usualy only a little more effort to code it for IE and
netscape (especialy if that is how you start coding it. then you can
foresee possible problems and think of a wark around eirly on in the
creation). and opera isnt that hard to code for (windows 4.02
realease... and the 3.62 wasnt too bad).

basically, all this thread is about, is if people can be bothered to
code for both browsers. i can be botherd because if your going to do a
job, you may as well do it properly. and the internet involves more than
one person, and there is more than one browser (and if i have the time i
try to do sites for lynx as well), so i try to make the little bits i
create viewable by as many people as possible. keeps people happy
because they can see it, gives the client what they want (a site
viewable by all visitors), and makes me feel better because i know
everyone can view it.

ways to browse, they do not want to deal with anything that is

and about 5% really want to learn how windows works, or even where the
defrag is.  I could not imagine teaching them how to use linux, it is

Many end up with Netscape because their ISP has it on the installation
cd. I
always steer them away from it.  It is one less program on the HD, and
IE is
already available.
