server-side javascript & .dll file?

hi all!

i'm thinking this probably can't be done, but a co-worker of mine is trying
to find a way to use server-side javascript to register a .dll file and use
the functions within it.  i know this can be done with java, but i've never
even tried it with javascript... 

any ideas?
