I ran into this when I started checking my pages on a Mac, quite some years
ago now.  Macs (then) had a grey background as standard... Especially with
nice embedded pictures that should run into the backgroun, this is a really
nasty one.:D

A friend has highlighted something else that's worth testing out sites for
(like
we need anything else !!!!).

He's changed his main window colour from the standard white to something
else
(not to be a pain, but because he finds his alternative colour easier on the
eye
than the standard white). A lot of web sites assume the background to be
white
but of course this will default to the windows setting. So although Yahoo
mail
copes with it fine (i.e. it explicitely refers to white areas of background
as
being white), the Yahoo home page doesn't. I assume this isn't by design as
the
home page looks quite poor with, say, a green background !

Anybody have any thoughts on this ?
