Whoever wins the battle, I'll be happy when all browsers (or this one
browser) behaves as it should.  If I write pages in perfect 100% validated
HTML code, it looks good in IE 5, 5.5, 6 AND 4.x.  This is certainly not the
case for all those NN versions around.  For example... <.td class=whatever>

IE may have proprietary tags, and may be 'too' forgiving about mistakes on
the author's behalf, it does have very good support for the standards.
Those proprietary tags are 'extra's'.  And anyone who ever developed sites
for an Intranet will certainly appreciate the enourmous functionality you
can use.  Ever thought about about writing a word-like application in a
browser using just browser features?
