Server bandwidth

Hi folks,


Was wondering about a server question.  About every host I've been at lists
the total bandwidth use higher than what shows up in the stat program
(webalizer, analog,...)

Someone once explained me very vaguely what was the cause of that, but I
don't remember quite well... Any ideas?
