Keep in mind that you may be able to configure you CMS to use a local
editor on the user's browser. This isn't a conventional cross-platform
solution, but I think many users would have a suitable editor, and the
minority could still have the option of hand-coding. (I haven't used the
feature but I believe Plone allows you to configure an editor.)
