I'm in the midst of a search engine positioning project. I'm doing
all the usual recommendations -- tuning up my TITLEs, META keyword
and description tags, page content, submitting to the engines,
securing my LookSmart listing, etc.
I am close to making a much bigger step -- using Coastalsites.com to
set up doorway pages (they call them 'focused content pages'). They
seem credible but I am concerned that I don't have any references for
them, other than the fact that WebPositionGold's publisher recommends
coastisites on their website.
Their fee is not small -- for my 80 or so keywords, am looking at
around $8000. But if they achieve what they claim (top-10 and top-20
listings according to a formula) it would be worth it because my CEO
has given us a target of achieving a top 10 rating for at least one
keyword for each of our 20-some-odd product lines. I don't think I
can achieve this without doorways.
Anyone have any experience with Coastalsites? Any other hints, ideas?
