Valid html 3.2 documents are also valid html 4.0 transitional documents.

What you'd be doing is changing the doctype declaration to html 4.0
transitional.  There is no need for any other changes. But if you are happy
with what html 3.2 has to offer and have no plans to include any of the new
elements there is no need for such a change either. Btw your 100 pages
cannot possibly be valid strict 3.2 as such a flavor of html 3.2 doesn't
exist.
